PROFILE

  • Graduate of University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Animal Science Farm/Ranch Production and Management option.
  • College rodeo participant for four years at U.T.
  • Ran own business during college years that pertained to starting young horses for the public, plus starting and training polo ponies.
  • After graduation, worked for five years as a range cowboy in the Northwest and Southwest U.S. including working for two different large cattle companies, (Elko Land and Livestock Company, TS Ranch, and Simplot Livestock Company, SS Ranch).

 

RECENT WORK HISTORY

  Bruneau, ID

  • Maintain herd health of all cattle
  • Gather and drive cattle on horseback to selected BLM and U.S. Forest land allotments at selected dates
  • Start young horses for range riding, roping cattle, and general work
  • Maintain herd health of all ranch horses

  Battle Mountain, NV

  • Start colts and other young horses
  • Start colts for riding, roping, and working cattle

 Granby, CO

  • Wrangle horses from mountain pasture
  • Gather and move horses to BLM designated pastures
  • Start colts for riding and cattle work

 

  Rossville, TN

  • Start colts
  • Start colts’ polo training
  • Finished colts were gentle and were playing polo
  • Some colts went on to play high goal polo
